Cold these days ... but good knitting weather!

Like I mentioned in my previous post ... I started the mitts on Friday at lunch, and finished #1 Friday evening - got up Saturday morning and knit the other one on the drive to and from Halifax. Really pleased with how they turned out. They were a birthday present (I wish I had checked picture quality before I gifted them! not great image). My friend is a smoker, and I thought they would be ideal for smoking outside, and for geocaching too!

I am working on a pair of felted slippers for the man who we are getting our new kitten from on Friday ... I hope to get them finished and dry in time! I have one almost done (started at suppertime on Sunday). I work every day, so not a lot of time for knitting. Gotta go get back to them!

Aha! -- you're using one of my favorites! I've knit a small ton of stuff out of Shetland Chunky and the Tweeds. Gonna use it for a bit now -- I got guilted into a few pairs of work socks for the other half asap. He's on the road and popped by the blog. "How come you get new socks and I don't have any good work socks any more, and I'm out here (The Prairies) freezing my feet off...." Whine, whine, moan, moan... So all other projects are on hold for a bit.
