Farmers Market

Last weekend, we decided to have an adventure, so T and I got up really early and drove to Halifax for the Alexander Keith's Brewery Market. It happens every weekend, and is a HUGE farmers market ... and last weekend was the final weekend for most of the vendors, as there is a new market built, opening this weekend. Apparently there is some discord amongst the vendors, some want to go to the new market, others don't want to go. T and I wanted to go for one final time, all under one roof!

It was fun .. we bought cheese and garlic blooms, bought our breakfast and lunch there too (my pictures aren't very good, sorry!) We had crepes for breakfast (mine was banana, honey and chocolate, and T had a ham, egg and onion one). Ahh they are the stuff of dreams!

For lunch we at at one of the Chinese food booths, and enjoyed some dim sum - pork dumplings, veggie dumplings, pork buns, pork shishkabob, and a sesame bun thingy with spicy bean curd (didn't catch the name of it, but OMYGoSH it was good! Need another one of those sometime soon!) Didn't get a picture of the chinese food ... too busy scarfing it down! :)

Anyhow, the pics I did manage to take while I wasn't eating are pretty self explanatory (flowers, food, chocolate, veggies, knit ware and more!)

Sounds like you had an amazing day! I have never been to that market, too early in the morning for me to get up and make that long drive!

Looks lovely there. I admit I smiled a bit at the vendor discord. Politics are everywhere it seems.
