It's a Most Wonderful Time of the Year!

Here it is Christmas Eve already! wow .... time flies when you are trying to get your Christmas knitting done! Curly finally discovered the tree - after a week of ignoring the giant shrub covered with dangling things that sprouted suddenly in the middle of the living room, he finally started to get a little curious. I am really pleased with him ... I fully expected the little terror (oops, I mean "the little darling") to climb it repeatedly and to have knocked it over at least once by now.

On to Christmas Knitting progress :

For those who are interested, I made it to row 10 in the 17 row bindoff in the surprise hat... then tried some creative decreases, and am debating whether to rip the hat back to the ribbing and start over with a ribbed hat, no cables, or to pick back the cast on edge to retrieve a bit of yarn from there (the ribbing is 3 inches, so I could rob from there) ... I dunno! I will figure it out after work today. It is a Christmas Hat, dammit! And I have not officially lost the battle yet to the yarn.

I am very close to done the 3rd snowman hat ... only the weaving in of ends and creating his cheery smile left. (I may cast on one more, as I am not sure one of the ones already made will fit its intended recipient - we will see how the day goes.)

I finished 2 more dishcloths (these go in the package for my Nanny).

I will be posting on and off over the holiday break - T is scheduled to work the next 7 days, so I will be looking for ways to entertain myself (and I am pretty sure I am getting knitting paraphernalia ... so need to post about that!).

Warm wishes for a Merry Christmas from me to the Knit Niters ... you ladies are the most fun a girl can have on a Wednesday nite! I am so happy we get together and I love our group ... I hope Santa finds you and is generous with the yarny goodness.

To my family, friends and friends in blogland, best wishes to you for a great Christmas!
(this is more like what I expected of the little darling .... he is so bad! Sandy Claws is reconsidering Curly's kitty toys, but he is so cute, he gets away with a lot!)

Have a Merry Christmas!

My Simba was at the tree this morning, not being a good boy at all -- and he's eleven-and-a-half! They get a catnip scratch post every year, but this year I couldn't get the one I usually get. They got something else instead, kind of a scratch post/toy-in-one combo thing. I'll wrap it tonight and leave it out so they can mangle it through the night. I don't put bows on our presents, either, cuz the cats eat them.

That's so cute. My crew just likes to crawl under the tree and sleep on the tree skirt.
