I'd rather be spinning

On Sunday, we spent a girls day together, me & my friends Marti, & J, visiting our other friend Sharon ...

Sharon has a spinning studio and is a gracious, sharing, fun-loving spinner. We had a hoot spinning with her ... and somehow, I managed to avoid the temptation of her beautiful fibres (while oogling her selection of wheels ... just try to count them in the pictures, and bear in mind that I didn't shoot the whole room, or get the ones that are behind people -- wow! nice stuff! and there must be nearly a dozen of them, all different and made of fantastic wood, with varied findings , bearings and other workings)

and there wasn't just a bag or two of the stuff laying around ... I showed uncharacteristic restraint,

and it was everywhere! But I didn't succumb ...

(not even for the Alpaca that is in that basket, that's so soft you would want to stroke it all day).

Of course, now I have regret for not getting stash while I saw it! lol! But Sharon assures me that there will still be some left when I go back, and that she is getting more colours ... I adore the orange and the olive green sitting in the basket and on the chair of the second picture) , and the 'Louet Karaoke' line of colours ...

I have serious envy of my pal who bought the Mermaid Karaoke (not telling who!), and feel bad that it wasn't me. But there will be other visits (I know I am not strong enough to resist the lure of the fibre twice -- too many pretty colours and so many soft things to touch). And if I am "needing" a pick me up, I can visit my pal's stash ~ that's what fibre friends are for.

Hey, it looks as though I know what I'm doing! I love Sharon's studio...do you think she'll let me live there?

BTW, I've put a post on my blog asking if anyone needs a ride for Knit Nite. Just thought I would let you know as you are usually so gracious as to post about it yourself. Hope you and the hubs have a lovely evening! Seeya soon.
