Fun few days of Vacation

What a great way to spend the last 3 days of my vacation for this year ... kitty cuddlin' with Curly.

I used up the last of my vacation time to try to socialize the dogs, cat and kitten ... but he's so small yet that I am not quite where I thought I'd be at this point, so I got to spend 3 days and a weekend snuggling, playing and getting to know the kitten, and slowly introducing him to the dogs (Louie, the cat, -- has absolutely no interest in him now! She will get to like him, in her own time).

Duffy loves him, and cries if I go into the kitten room without her ... she scares me a bit because she is so big compared to Curly, and wants to see him so much. She could hurt him without even knowing she did anything. Isn't she a sweetie?

We took Curly for his first exam by our vet on Monday. Curly is the first Selkirk Rex he has seen, and he is in love with him -- even offered to buy him from us (jokingly --- he knew we'd never let this little darlin' go!). He had a great visit, was good, and got lots of attention from the ladies at the desk too.

Kittens have to sleep sometime , so I also got a fair bit of knitting done ... the replacement slippers for the kitten breeder are done (just waiting for a brother in law to be available as a foot model -- the breeder is smaller than my husband), the Wavy scarf for the Red Scarf Project is complete, and I even got a start on a hat for hubby. No pics yet, but I will post them once the slippers are felted.

The vet always wants to keep my cat, Pumba. He's so loving, and he's got great personality. He's my baby and isn't going anywhere! He's my Roly Poly Poomie. You had a nice way to spend your vacation.

Can't wait to see pictures of your FOs!
