If you are planning to attend as a day-pass visitor, she still needs to know you are coming, so we have enough space! Currently there are about 65 people planning to attend ~ wow, so great for the first year! I hope to see you there.

Friday – 3:00 pm till 10:00 pm
Saturday – 8:00 am till 10:00 pm
Sunday – 8:00 am till noon…
We will have door prizes. Drawing 4:00pm Saturday…

I felt we all need a mental uplift after a long winter. My thoughts were to keep it simple and relaxing for ALL, hence we will not have workshops or vendors ~ bring your own projects and have FUN!! Bring you wheels, small tabletop looms, hooking frames, knitting needles all the tools of our trade… Our gathering room (State Room) will be locked for safe keeping of our goods.
You may move about the resort at your leisure, meet new people, exchange ideas, show and tell, and learn from each other. This is why the event is not structured…The format is taken from NETA’S, Spa, Knit & Spin which started in Portland, Maine, February 2003. Their motto is “Keep It Simple, Sweetie” ~ K.I.S.S.
During the weekend, there will be some knitting taking place for charity, in the form of scarves being knit for the Keep the Fleece project in support of Heifer International. For a $1/row donation, you can knit on a piece of the longest scarf in the world (all the pieces from around the world will be collected and attached to make the longest scarf in the world, and displayed at Rhinebeck in October, 2009).
Bring some money and a few minutes of your time, and you can be a part of history while helping a farmer in need!

I am sooooo ticked that I have such a busy weekend coming up. Will miss the whole event :(
I just wanted to let you know how much your great support of Keep the Fleece means, not only to me personally, but to the thousands of people whose livelihoods are dependent upon the production of natural fibers. Have a wonderful retreat this weekend and I wish I could attend. I visited the White Sands back in 1967 when I was nine, I guarantee the view is just as spectacular.
