Buckthorn Socks

I knit these socks on my trip to Newfoundland ... and they were finished as we were on the approach to Halifax ... so not too bad time wise (5 days). They are a standard 3 x 1 rib with an eye of partridge heel, and a standard toe. Not really knit with anyone in mind ... but as Christmas draws nearer, I am pretty sure I will figure out who they will be "perfect for". They are about a ladies size 7. Knit on 2.75 mm needles from Kroy sock yarn, in Buckthorn Stripes colourway.

The pictures are taken on a 150 year old ash tree .... now I wanna call the socks Growth Rings ... but they definitely are "Boring Buckthorns"!

Nice! So great to have an easy knit when one is traveling!
