I may have to knit another 3 of these to break the cycle of insanity. I dunno - I still like the pattern, and I am still delighted by the finished object ... that means I still have a ways to go before I am done with it, so brace yourself for a possible deluge of owl pictures over the next few weeks.
Until I am - this is Whoo-ver, he is my newest (and possibly most cheery) owl. I am devoting myself to knitting only from the stash, at least for the time being, until there is a dent in it!

this is why I can't seem to stop ... they are cute-cute-cute, and peopel spur me on by agreeing with me! I am in this deep, man!
You probably have enough stash that you can make your own version of The Birds movie using knitted owls, lol. If you don't show up for work one day we'll send people to see if you're buried under a pile of them, lol.
